Product Details
The United States Aids TO Navigation System (USATONS) is a critical component of the United States Marine Transportation System (MTS) for reducing transit collision and grounding risks as well as maintaining maximal shipping and vessel capacity in US waterways.
The ROADRule USATONS is a truly unique and useful quick reference tool. It provides surprisingly comprehesive information about buoys, markers and lights, as well as rules of the road and maneuvering and warning signals for US waters in a compact, easy to stow, format.
It summarizes some of the most frequently used information contained in NOAA US Chart 1.
The ROADrule takes a large amount of complex information and makes it easy to understand. Whether in a classroom or at the helm, critical decisions can be made quickly and with confidence with the aide of ROADrule.
Its design is similar to a slide-rule. By moving the slide, various vessel right-of-way situations can be displayed. (Refer to left side of upper image.)
Versions of ROADRule are also available for European Inland Canals and International Waters.
