WHY YOUR PLANTS NEED GYPSUM - Do you water your plants with tap water or high-mineral well water? Is your soil compacted with poor drainage? Are your plants’ leaves scorched, brown tipped, curling, or pale? Your plants could benefit from the beneficial nutrients of gypsum. Non-toxic to humans, pets, and beneficial organisms. Gypsum does not burn skin, roots, or leaves even if accidentally overapplied.
REPAIRS DAMAGE FROM SALTS: Excessive salts from your water or other soil additives can negatively impact plant health by disrupting hydration and nutrient transport. Salt damage can appear as scorched leaves that brown, curl, or wilt. Plant roots also struggle to hydrate and transport nutrients effectively. Gypsum can reverse salt accumulation in soil over time because the calcium replaces sodium ions removing salt from the root zone, while sulfate binds to excess salts to reduce damage.
IMPROVES SOIL STRUCTURE: Gypsum helps loosen and aerate heavy, compacted soil by breaking apart the tiny bonded soil particles over time. This opens up the soil structure, improves drainage, increases water retention and root penetration, and facilitates easier root expansion and growth. Compact soil stunts the growth of plants by causing root rot, wilting, nutrient deficiencies, and fungal issues. Especially useful for improving clay soils, gypsum can be used to aerate any compact soil.
PLANTS NEED CALCIUM: Calcium deficiency in plants may cause stunted growth, unnaturally curled leaves, brown leaf tips/margins, poor fruiting, and weak stems. Gypsum provides plants with calcium that plays a key role in plant structure, enzyme and protein activation, and growth and development. Calcium promotes healthy root and leaf growth, regulates nutrients within plants, and strengthens cell membranes and cell walls. Unlike lime, gypsum does not affect the pH of s... view more
