Socket wrench set.||Phillips screwdriver.||Begin by opening the hood of the vehicle.||Locate the hood latch striker rod on the underside of the hood and carefully remove the retaining clips using a Phillips screwdriver.||Slide the old hood latch striker rod out of the hood latch mechanism and set it aside.||Socket wrench set.||Phillips screwdriver.||Begin by opening the hood of the vehicle.||Locate the hood latch striker rod on the underside of the hood and carefully remove the retaining clips using a Phillips screwdriver.||Slide the old hood latch striker rod out of the hood latch mechanism and set it aside.||Take the new genuine Ford hood latch striker rod and insert it into the hood latch mechanism until it clicks into place.||Secure the new hood latch striker rod in place by reattaching the retaining clips using a Phillips screwdriver.||Test the hood latch by closing and opening the hood.
